Romans 7:19
For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.
Paul’s words in Romans highlight the challenge we face in doing what is right. Even as believers, we struggle with our sinful nature, often finding ourselves doing what we wish to avoid. This struggle is a reality, but it should not lead to despair. Instead, it should drive us to rely more on the Holy Spirit, who empowers us to overcome our weaknesses and live according to God’s will.
Response
- How can you rely more on the Holy Spirit to help you overcome specific challenges?
- Lord, I confess my struggles and weaknesses. Give me the strength to overcome them and live according to Your Spirit. Amen.
